TRANSITION FROM MEDICARE TO
'SURGICARE'
(last updated: 1st September 2007)
The
first surgical team arrived on the 29th of March 2002, from
Chengalpattu and that was the beginning of an extremely
satisfying venture. Then, we had no second-line helpers
such as nursing staff, O.T. assistants, cleaners, etc. The
team was led by Prof. Devarajan (who commissioned the Boyle's
Apparatus bought with his help) Drs. Giri, Hari, and Arasu
filled up every gap, (instrument cleaning, linen washing and
floor mopping etc. Nobody considered any work menial! They
all helped us form a team that helps us now! God has so
far helped us conduct the following camps.

Even in any medium-sized setup other
than government institutions, each of these surgeries would have cost
anything between 5 to 25 thousand rupees.
Thanks be to
God Almighty who helped us to help these people without
any monitory demands from any of them. This has been possible
due to the helping hands of our generous donors who have
given above and beyond their means even
without our asking!
